Polyethylene Oxide (PEO),is a water-soluble, non-ionic synthetic polymer. It is formed by the polymerization of ethylene oxide and is available in various molecular weights (ranging from ~100 to several million Daltons). PEO is highly flexible, biocompatible, and exhibits excellent lubrication and thickening properties.
